the council authorized the purchase of a 2017 Ford Interceptor Utility vehicle for $50,382 and for an unmarked 2017 Dodge Charger for $38,246 from John Vance Auto Group. The purchases were made available through the town’s police capital budget.

The council also approved a contract with Seagrave manufacturers to purchase a 95-foot aerial latter truck for its Fire Department for $1,485,762 at the same meeting. The fire truck purchase is being funded by the fire district’s reserve fund, plus an $800,000 bond that was approved by voters of Harrison’s downtown fire district back in February. The new Seagrave will replace its current 23-year-old ladder track manufactured by Stuphen, which fire Chief John Masciola told the Review in February is costing the district more than $100,000 to repair every couple of years.
